Week 01
Understanding the purpose of the course sets the expectations for what to expect. For example, understand that through this class I will understand more about myself. I will make and choose "executive habits" and hopefully continue them in my life, not just in my career, but in my daily life as well. Similar to life, getting to what’s known as the star, or the end goal, takes stepping stones, and many trials, and errors. It’s never going to be easy, in fact, most of the time it will be difficult. We will go through many jobs and experiences before we get to the star. I have gone to multiple colleges not knowing what I wanted to do, without doing that and many other experiences that I didn’t necessarily enjoy, I wouldn’t have the end goal I have now, which I truly am passionate about. Plus, I wouldn’t have the job I have and with that wouldn’t have the people in my life I do. Experiences and trials get us to where we need to be and whom we need to have in our lives, either for ourselves or for them.
The Lord knows us best and if we include the Lord in our choices and trials, we will be able to have a better idea of where we need to go and what our talents would best be used for. Not only will He know where we need to go and what we need to experience, but He also knows what we need to learn based on where we can improve in our lives. We may never know the why or how, but I hope that I can understand the necessity of trials, hardships, failures, and experiences. Hopefully, when we get to the end, we will know that we did our best and be happy with where we are and what we did.
