Week 05

Having a reliable group of people that you can trust is important. This can help you throughout your life, career, and school. Having mentors as part of that group is especially important. They can teach you things that you would never think of learning. Mentors have more experience; therefore, they can teach you through those experiences. They can hopefully help you avoid mistakes that they made. A strong support system in your life can have many benefits. One of them is that you are more accountable. Especially if you tell them your goals, you are more accountable because you told someone else. You are more apt to do the things you want to accomplish. They can also be there through your struggles and help you through them. Your support system, especially your close support system, should be people you trust and that you feel are reliable. We will not get through this life alone. If you feel you can, that is quite a lonely road to walk. Helping each other is what we need to do. We all have different strengths and weaknesses; we can help each other with our strengths and weaknesses. If you think about all the big milestones in history, those things were never completed alone. They always had people they trust alongside them. Your support group can and will change over time, especially as you and they grow as people. Eventually, some people drift apart, and some people grow closer together. The only constant person, or people, you will have in your support system, is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. No matter how bad you think you mess up, they will always be by your side, even when you think they are not there. They can help you throughout anything, Heavenly Father knows you better than anyone else, He knows what and who you need in your life. Jesus Christ experienced everything you will ever experience; He is and will always be reliable in your life.
