Week 06
You must set yourself up for success. Success in all aspects of your life, not just one area. This includes the Gospel, day-to-day life, career, etc. This requires balance in all areas of your life. You must start with the most important stuff and set your priorities. Everything else will fall into place if you prioritize the right things. Having support from God and your family should be important, therefore, they should be the ones you prioritize in your life. No one is going to want to help or support someone that they feel does not care about them. Even if you do care and you love them, showing that you do is very important. Prioritization is best described with a jar, sand, and rocks. If you put the sand in first, or what should be the less important things, you will have a hard time fitting the rocks in, or what should be most important in your life. Doing it the opposite way, you can fit more into your life. The support system you have is a two-way street, it is not one-sided, like communication. The Lord will never give you more than you can handle, this does not mean life and trials will be easy. Most of the time He expects you to go to Him for help, often what He gives to you is a learning experience. If you pray for understanding you may learn what you are supposed to learn from the experience. The Lord leads you to who you are meant to be, He knows your potential. If you include Him in your life, you can become what and who you are meant to be. All of us have a calling in our lives, if we follow Him, we are able to have Him walk with us, instead of walking alone.
